Heralding the coming of spring, the cuckoo is often heard and not seen. This linocut showcases this bird nestled in the leaves of an oak, another rare sighting in the Burren. I enjoyed using this printmaking method to approach the sounds of the landscape around me in an imaginative and illustrative way.

Care Instructions

Keep out of direct sunlight.

This print is packaged with an acid-free mountboard and sleeve. However, these materials do not meet conservation standards. Therefore, it is encouraged that the print not be stored long-term in the these materials and that it is placed in a suitable frame.
